How Big Is Ol Pejeta Conservancy?

Ol Pejeta Conservancy spans 360 square kilometres (90,000 acres) in Laikipia County, central Kenya. It lies between the Aberdare Ranges and Mount Kenya, about 14 kilometres from Nanyuki town.

Ol Pejeta is East Africa’s largest black rhino sanctuary and the only home to the last two surviving northern white rhinos. It combines wildlife conservation with community development and livestock programs, making it a global model for sustainable tourism.

The conservancy hosts the Big Five and offers unique experiences such as night game drives, chimpanzee encounters, and cycling safaris.

Visitors pay entry fees directly at the gate:

  • East African Citizen – KES 1,400
  • Resident – KES 2,000
  • Non-Resident – USD 95

These rates are set by the conservancy and may vary slightly from KWS parks.
