You pay KES 1,000 to enter Nairobi National Park if you are an East African adult citizen, and USD 80 if you are a non-resident adult. Children and students pay KES 500 or USD 40. These fees follow the Kenya Gazette 2025 schedule and are valid for 24 hours from the time of entry.
In addition to entry fees, every vehicle entering the park is charged a separate fee. Small cars and 6-seater SUVs pay KES 600, safari vans and minibuses pay KES 1,500, and larger tour vehicles pay more depending on seating capacity. Visitors may pay via M-Pesa, card, or through their tour operator.
Nairobi National Park opens at 6:00 AM and closes at 6:00 PM daily. Early arrival is recommended for better sightings of lions, rhinos, and cheetahs. Self-drive visits allow flexibility, but guided tours offer deeper wildlife interpretation and ensure visitors follow the best routes for photography and animal encounters.
Many travellers combine their visit with nearby attractions such as the Giraffe Centre, Elephant Orphanage, or Nairobi Safari Walk, all located minutes from the park’s main entrance on Langata Road.
