Nairobi National Park opens daily at 6:00 AM and closes at 6:00 PM, including weekends and holidays. The early opening allows visitors to catch predators at their most active before the heat sets in.
Last entry is typically 5:30 PM to ensure all vehicles exit by sunset.
During rainy seasons, park rangers may adjust closing times for safety. Visitors are advised to confirm timing through the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) before travel.
Best visiting hours:
- 6:00–9:00 AM – lions, rhinos, and birdlife most active
- 4:00–6:00 PM – elephants, giraffes, and scenic golden-hour photography
